It has only been ten years since the end of Gaia war and the Greeks and Roman's have formed and uneasy peace they decided to combine the two camps because they wanted to encourage their children to get on better with the added benefit of it forcing the gods to get on as well. But all is not well trouble is brewing in the form of Hera.
Hera is plotting behind the scenes to kill all demigods, because she knew that Zeus would stop her if he knew she is using Eris as a figure head for the war. Hera cannot stand that demigods are interacting with the gods and thinks that it is against the "rules of nature" that they are not worthy of knowing their godly parents because they are just demigds. They are planning to resurrect Cronos, because he also believes that demigods should be killed or used as a means to an end. They have recruited kids who hate their parent's for abandoning them or kids who are just bad. They have managed to keep their war a secret for now. But that is about to change the they have amassed enough people to start an all out war.
Other gods have joined the cause feeling that they don't like being pushed into having to interact with their kids and others because it is in their nature to enjoy war, such as Mars. They have already infiltrated camp and have started to sow the seeds of distrust amongst the children their even if they do not join Hera's side they will at least be reluctant to join Zeus' side.
Hera has also made the government aware of the fact that demigods exist and have even given some over to the government for them to experiment on, they were kids of Zeus that she got to before Zeus even knew about them she killed their other parent when she took them so their was no one to tell the gods about what had happened and she also got revenge on those horrible loose people who slept with her husband.
Hera and the other gods have not told the demigods that they are recruiting that after they are no longer useful she is planning to kill them or hand them over to the government to experiment on. Some of the gods feel bad about being going to kill them after they are no longer useful but others just feel that this is a fact of life and that they should have expected it.
Hera is planning on trying to brainwash Zeus so that he stops sleeping around or at least stops caring about the kids that he has with them. She has enlisted the help of another goddess to brainwash him.
