Iian limped into the room taking a seat on the couch he lay there limply, ignoring the protest that his body gave when all his wounds reopened. His eyes slipped closed and the past few hours flashed in front of his eyes, he had been laying in bed and the next second he had been in the middle of a dark forest wide awake. Iian realized that he had accidentally shadow traveled in his sleep, which he hadn't done since he was pregnant with Hailey and Haben. Which wasn't too bad by itself but then he realized that he was being watched by something in the shadows. He had used his powers to call his weapons to him but not before he was attacked, the monster came out of nowhere and managed to get him across the back. It was a long drawn out battle in which he managed to kill all 13 of the monsters but not before he suffered various cuts, bites and burns. 

When they were finally dead he didn't have the energy to shadow travel back right then so he climbed a tree and rested there for awhile to rebuild his energy so he could shadow travel. 

Iian looked down at his ruined Pajamas and sighed they had been his favorite pair too. He struggled to his feet heading to the bathroom to have a shower. The water ran red for awhile before it became clear he got out and dressed his wounds glad that they would be easy to hide and fit under his clothes. His hand drifting to his stomach happy that he managed to avoid any damage there in the fight. Iian dressed slowly and carefully making sure that he covered all the injuries. He walked back into the living room taking a seat on the couch laying down he closed his eyes and placed his hands over his stomach. 

When he was pregnant with the twins he could feel them even when they were only a month along. Slowly a smile over took his face as he realized that he could feel a little life under his palms. He couldn't tell how many at the moment but he would visit Apollo to find out and have him heal the wounds he had gotten so as to not worry Hades. 

"A new baby." He whispered to himself, with his eyes still closed as he slowly drifted off to sleep exhausted over the fight today.

Hades

Hades had awoke in the middle of the night to see Iian gone. He checked around the house but could only find their sleeping children. By this stage he was starting to get frantic and left the house to look for him.

He arrived back home a few hours later, feeling defeated and useless as he had yet to find his husband. He was worried about him and hoped he was okay. He looked around the house again and was relieved to see him asleep on the couch. He thought he might have imagined the whole thing as he moved to sit on the floor beside him a softly run a hand over his face. This was of course until he notice the small amount of blood on the arm chair. He looked closer at his husband and pulled the side of his shirt up and wasn't surprised when he saw the wounds. He was of course angry with himself though for not finding his husband sooner. It also wasn't the first time he wished he had a talent with healing. He knew the wound was all that bad but he hated to see Iian in pain so he stood quickly, heading for a sink to send a Iris message to Apollo to get her as soon as he could.

Iian

Iian woke with a start, wondering what had woke him before realizing that he heard Hades talking in the other room. Letting out a soft sound of pain he swung his feet to the floor and pushed himself into a seated position, wincing as the wounds he had opened up again. "Love?" He called out softly, resting back against the sofa, gathering his strength to try and stand, he stood on weak trembling legs before he fell back onto the couch he readied himself to stand again before changing his mind. The possibility that he would just fall over once he stood was high and he didn't want to chance the fall hurting the baby, or babies that he was carrying.

"Hade? Can you come here please, I, I can't stand on my own at the moment without almost falling, and I, I don't want to chance hurting....myself again." He tells him, he didn't want to tell him about the baby just yet because it would make Hades even more mad that he had disappeared and he couldn't do that too him. Iian's eyes drifted closed slowly and he drifted back off to sleep, hoping that Hades would come and help him to the bathroom soon. Iian awoke with a start biting back a yell at the feeling of fire shot through his side as he moved the wrong way.

Hades

Hades left the room, forgetting to even finish the Iris message with Apollo. He was worried about Iian when he heard the call. He moved quickly into the living room. When he saw Iian asleep again he thought he might have imagined it all. It wouldn't have been the first time after all. He carefully sat on the arm of the chair and wondered how long it would be before Apollo turned up.

When he saw the look of pain on Iian's face, he ran his fingers softly through his hair, wishing he could do more. He carefully helped him stand, trying not to hurt him in the process and lead Iian towards the bathroom. "What happened Iian? Why-", he had been about to ask why he had left when a idea came to him. If Iian hadn't meant to leave then it could only mean one thing. The only time Hades had ever seen him disappear without meaning to was when he had been pregnant and then it had been a regular occurrence. The corners of his mouth twitched at the thought. "You didn't plan to leave the house at all did you?", he asked softly.

Iian blushed and looked at his toes, his hand absently resting over his stomach. "No, I didn't plan on leaving the house." He tells him softly, before rushing as fast as he could into the bathroom to take care of business. He washed his hands and walked slowly back out of the room his hand on the wall. His legs decidedly shaky, he took hold of Hades arm and used that to lead him back to the couch pushing Hades down well more like pushing on his shoulder till he got the message, before he moved and curled up in Hades lap, resting his head on his shoulder.

"One second I was in bed, the next I was in the middle of a dark monster infested forest and was unable to escape before being attacked so I had to fight them off, I...I protected the baby don't worry, I didn't let them hurt them." He said his words frantic at the end, he didn't want Hades to believe that he didn't protect their baby.

Hades helped Iian back to the couch and sat down on the couch, he smiled when Iian climbed into his lap and wrapped his arms around him. He pulled him closer at his frantic words, "Shhh...Its okay Iian, I have no doubts that you would. I also have no plans on allowing it to happen again", he replied. He would hold Iian every night to make sure the next time it happened that he would be with him, so he could protect them both. "I will protect you both to what ever end", he replied, meaning every word. He would not let anything hurt his husband again.

Iian sighed and relaxed into Hades hold, he was glad that Hades knew that he protected their baby he would not have been able to live with himself if something had a happened to their child. "Can you put up those wards that you did last time to stop me from disappearing without meaning to? I'd feel a lot safer for our baby if you did." He tells him nuzzling his neck, before yawning widely, he needed to have a good long sleep disappearing and fighting took a lot out of him. "Can we go to bed after you have put up the safety ward." He had watched a lot of Harry Potter and the things that Hades put up to stop him disappearing were a lot like the wards in Harry potter so that's what he called them, they probably had another more technical or proper name but he couldn't remember it.

Hades smiled, he had other reasons to put up wards anyway after what their son had gotten himself into that day. After Iian going missing though he found himself unable to stay angry at Haben. He had been to worried about Iian when he had been unable to find. Still it would be nice to know here all his family was for a while. He kissed Iian and helped him to his feet. "You go lay down. I will be back in in a minute. We will all have to be careful for a while. I will not have you in danger."  he knew he would also have to have a chat to the kids before he joined Iian.

"Thanks, I love you." He tells him with a yawn slowly and carefully making his way to there bedroom. He lay down on his side of the before curling up around Hades' pillow taking a deep breath and taking in the smell of Hades he relaxed completely and soon fell asleep knowing that Hades would join him and that he would keep him from disappearing again like he had done in the first pregnancy. He dreamed of children with his fair skin and Hades brown hair a little girl who had his eyes and one who had Hades eyes and Iian's hair along with two who had Hades' skin and eyes and his hair. He sighed happily in his sleep curling up tighter around Hades' pillow.

Hades put wards up with little more then a thought as he headed to their kids rooms to speak to them. He wanted to take no risks with his kids safety and while the wards would not break with people coming in, it was likely they would if any of them tried to leave. Only once he was sure they both understood did he leave them and head back to their room. He watched Iian sleep from the doorway for a moment before he lay down beside him, being careful not to wake him as he did so. He wrapped a arm around Iian and watched over him until he feel asleep himself.

Iian snuggled closer to Hades relaxing even more, he slept for a long time free of nightmares before he started to whimper his mind conjuring nightmares about all the things that could have happened to his babies if he had not been strong enough to to save them along with memories from before he had met Hades but instead of being him in the situations it was his helpless babies who could not look after themselves and he had to watch them die brutally. He woke breathing hard, tears streaming down his face his hands resting protectively over his stomach his breathing slowly evened out when he realised that he and his babies were safe. He couldn't close his eyes too scared of going back into the nightmare so he turned so he could stare at Hades his mind going over what they would need to buy for the babies. He knew he could reuse what they had used for the twins but he wanted to buy all new things, he loved shopping for babies.

Hades woke when Iian moved to face him, noticing first the tears. He whipped away the tears before pulling him close. "Hey, none of that. I promise you that nothing will happen to you or our child. I will make sure of it." He kissed him softly before standing and pulling Iian to his feet. Shopping was never something he truly enjoyed but he knew that Iian would enjoy looking for things for their child. He felt that it was something that they both needed after watching the twins leave. They knew that they would see them again but the two had needed to make their own why. "Get dressed. I do believe we need a few things. A child of mine has to be stylish after all", he half joked to try and crack a smile on his husband.

Iian smiled at him lifting his hand to stroke his cheek, once again overcome by how lucky he was. "I love you." He tells him giving him a soft kiss on the lips before heading to the shower to get clean before changing his clothes. He mentally went over the list as he did so, he hopped out of the shower and dressed as quickly as he could with all his injuries, thankful that they were mostly all gone one of the many positives about being a god. He was dressed in a skintight dark blue top which managed to show the bump tiny as it was, he was wearing black jeans, he wanted to enjoy wearing jeans till he could no longer wear them. He shrugged on his leather jacket carefully before walking out of the bathroom and back towards the bedroom, he grinned when he realized that Hades had already changed and he took hold of his hand waiting for him to take them where ever he wanted to go shopping.

Hades

Hades watched him go into the bathroom before quickly moving to the second bathroom and quickly showered and changed. He appeared back in the room only a few seconds before Iian walked out of the bathroom. He squeezed Iians hand as felt it in his own and thought for a moment about where they should go. He ended up thinking about a higher end street he had been to that he had noticed a few baby shops along. Hades spent very little time in the real world and this was in the end one of the only places he could think. They appeared on the street in front of a high end suit shop and started walking along until the came across a place that sold kids clothes. Hades walked in with Iian.

"So cute." Iian said with a wide smile, stroking the fabric of a small blue onesie that said daddy's little superhero. He plucked it off the rack and showed it to Hades before placing it into a basket before picking the basket up. He moved forward browsing the isles he stopped in front of a set of three cribs that he decided that he had to have, they were a dark mahogany colour he stroked his fingers over the wood turning to look at Hades with a pleading look knowing that it would make Hades cave and get what Iian wanted. "These are perfect."
