Evangelica lay on the blanket staring at the sky, her head resting on her hands which she had folded behind her head, watching as the clouds as they formed shapes and changed shapes. It was nice to have some time to herself away from patients and even Proserpina. Proserpina had promised that she would be around but Evan hadn't seen from her in too long almost 3 months since she had seen either hide nor hair of her. 

She stood with a sigh stripping off her clothes it was too hot. She thought jumping into the river the cool water flowing over her head. She surfaced running her hands through her hair before diving again and doing some laps till she had warn herself out. She pulled herself out of the water before laying a towel down and laying on that staring at the sky deciding to sunbathe. She yawned rubbing her eyes before she yawned again looking at the sky before she fell asleep slowly, dreaming about when things were better with Proserpina, before the dreams slowly warped into ones where she was happy without Proserpina. Which she wouldn't have thought possible before. But it seemed like they were destined to not be together it couldn't be helped it was just a part of life. 

Nora walked out of her cabin, dressed in jeans, a long sleeved shirt, joggers and gloves despite the heat of the day. Most people at the camp where used to her odd choice of clothes anyway and she really had no want to see how any of them would die. She had decided to leave the cabin with the hope that the lake would be at least mostly free and she could get a space on her own to maybe slip of her shoes and dip her feet into the water to try and get at least some coolness on the hot day. She wonder how her sister was going since she came back to camp, having not seen her much since that first day.

When she arrived at the lake she almost left after seeing another girl there but made herself stay. She shouldn't be scared of one person after all or what sort of demigod was she. She had been around more during meal times anyway. With this in her mind she moved towards the water and after stripping of her shoes and socks and rolling her pants up. After second thoughts she stripped off her gloves and walked into the water letting her hands trail through. She let out a sigh wishing she could actually go for a swim but knowing she would never have the guts to swim where she could easily touch others.

Evan woke feeling another's presence, she moved so she was propped up on her elbow looking at the other girl. She could feel the waves of pain and longing coming off her and she stood moving over to her. "Hi?" She asked sitting next to her, close but not close enough to touch her, noticing the layers that she had on.

"Are, are you okay? I just, I can feel your pain and am wondering if, maybe there is anything I can do to help you?" She asked, turning to face her not realizing that she was just wearing her bikini. "I mean it's totally okay if you don't want any help but I am a Doctor and even if the hurt isn't physical I really want to help. I'm Evangelica, by the way, Evangelica Marsden what's your name?" She said before blushing brightly. "I'm really sorry, I tend to ramble when I'm nervous, you can just tell me to shut up at anytime you want."

Nora jumped when the girl spoke. She had been sure the girl had been asleep. "No your okay. I don't have many people really wanting to talk to me. You know, being a daughter of death and all. I am sorry if I woke you", she replied, moving just slightly further away and reaching to put her gloves back on after drying her hands on her jeans.

Nora looked at the girl, drawing her eyes away from her body as soon as she did. Seeing as she couldn't touch anyway she tried not to take much notice of what she was missing out on. She cleared her throat before saying what she wanted to. "I wouldn't call it pain as such. I am just thinking over things." She looked down at her gloved hands again before talking again. "Lets just say being a daughter of death really isn't an easy thing to be.  I am Nora Keller", she replied, offering a now gloved hand.  She shrugged slightly, "Sorry about the glove....its just best that I don't touch other peoples skin.  I....ahh....I have yet to learn how to control my powers.  Not even sure if it is possible to be honest."

"Ohh, well that's pretty crappy, I mean it's not your fault that your father is the king of death, I mean the death gods are the most fun. I mean have you been to the parties they throw they are killer." She says with a grin, cocking her head to the side. taking in what she had said.

"Nice to meet you." She said shaking her hand touching her skin gently just to see what would happen but nothing did, she pulled back with a secretive smile. "I believe that your powers won't work on me because I'm immortal, but I don't mind the gloves, Ina... Well anyway, I can probably help you train your power but only if you approve of course I'd never do anything without your permission. I could probably take away some of the memories of the deaths that you have seen." She tells her gently hoping that she didn't scare her off, it had been the first person that she had talked to apart from patients in too long, she was reluctant to let go of her hand but she did so after awhile but not before she held on and felt the pain that she was carrying around.

Nora laughed slightly, "And I am sorry to say Evangelica, but that is a pretty sad joke", she replied. She felt a smile cross her face, which hadn't happened to her for a while.

Nora felt her touch her skin and pulled away quickly, looking away from her and waiting for the onset of the vision she knew would come. It took her a moment to realize it wasn't going to. She missed most of what Evangelica was saying as the realization hit her. "I didn't get a vision....this hasn't happened before", she replied, looking at Evangelica. She heard the last part of what was said and had to wonder if she did want that. It would stop the nightmares she kept having but at the same time it would take away part of who she was. This was her burden to bare just as her fathers was to ferry the dead to the underworld. "I....ummm...As much as it would help me sleep I will decline the offer. The way I look at it, its part of who I am", she replied with a shrug, knowing she didn't make a lot of sense.

She couldn't look away from Evangelica she wanted to touch her again to see if it was really true but was scared that if she did it would just be because her powers didn't get long enough to read into the immortal girls life.

Eva giggled at the smile she gave her, she was glad that she made her smile, Nora should smile more often it suited her. "But it made you smile, which was what it was for. Though it isn't a joke, I was friends with your fathers either Husband or Wife." She says with a grin.

Her smile fading when she heard what she said. "It's not actually a part of your powers, I mean your father must have them from time to time but it's not supposed to be an everlasting part of your life, I mean I won't take all your memories away just lessen the effect of them, you seem to be becoming exhausted and that's no good for anyone."

"You can touch me again." She offers holding out her hand for Nora to touch, only by her own choice. She wouldn't push her it would be her own choice weather or not to touch after all it's been so long since the other girl had touched it would be scary for her to contemplate.

"My father is in a relationship with Hypnos last I heard. I never knew anything about a wife", she replied. The smile still graced her face.

"Maybe not but they have become part of who I am and in someways they allow me to work out what is going to happen so I can prepare for the future. It makes me wonder if there is Apollos blood in my ancestry. I don't know if its possible. My twin's powers are different after all."

Nora looked away from her. She knew she wanted to touch her but she still wasn't sure if she would see the girls death and in someways her visions did still scare her. It was the thought of how she would question herself if she didn't take this chance that forced her into action. She slowly removed her glove, hesitating only with the thought of how long it had been since she had consciously touched someone. She moved her hand to touch her shoulder but decided to be bold if she was going to do it and cupped her cheek instead. When she realized that no vision was going to come she felt tears sting her eyes and she withdrew her hand and looked away. It had been over 15 years since she had been able to touch someone and not see death in the process.

"Ohh right." She said with a bright red blush. "Sorry, I though you were a Hades or Pluto kid, Thanatos huh? He's good for a laugh. Though him without Hypnos..." She shuddered thinking to how sad and scary he was without him. "Scary."

"Could be I mean we are so interbreed that anyone could have that power." She says her eyes twinkling madly with humor, thinking about what the gods would say to her if they over heard it. "What power does your twin have?"

"Are...are you okay?" She asked softly wishing back the blush that graced her cheeks, it has been so long since she had been touched like that, kindly, and with no hidden agenda. She felt so sorry for everything that Nora had been through, that her eyes filled with tears turning to look away she wiped away her tears hoping that Nora didn't notice, it was embarrassing. "You can touch me anytime you like, I...uhh that sounded like a come on didn't it, I mean, I have like a girlfriend but if you wanted, you can touch me whenever you like, or uhh you know what lets go swimming together." She asks looking away another blush crossing her cheeks.

"Yeah Thanatos. I know I remember when Mercury left", she replied with a shudder. "I had only just arrived at camp before it happened.

"We really are aren't we", she replied in agreement with her. "My sister has the death touch. It doesn't work with me but as far as I know its only me and another girl she just meet. We generally stay away from each other though cause I tend to still see her death. It's the one that scares me the most if I am to be honest."

Nora felt her heart drop when she heard her mention that she had a girlfriend. Until then she hadn't realized just how much she felt for the other girl. She felt so stupid for letting herself feel that way so quickly about someone she had only just meet. It was then that she realized that the girl had just spoke again and after hiding her feelings behind a well mask she turned back to look at her. "Sure", she replied. She wasn't ready to leave the only girl she knew she could touch. At least not just yet anyway and she could just be friends with her after all. She stood slowly and stripped down to the togs she was wearing before running into the water.
