Scarlett ran through the forest on four feet rather then two.  She had never truly had the chance to just run for the sake of it.  She never had the chance to run while she was in the orphanage.  It was hard enough shifting in the middle of the night for a few hours while everyone was asleep, but she had had to do it.  The wolf was part of who she was and at times she felt the strain on her sanity for keeping it locked inside for to long.  Then when they had left she could shift more but she still had to be careful not to draw to much attention to them. 

She drew back to the present when she caught the sent of a rabbit in the woods and chased after, having no interest in catching but enjoying the thrill of the chase.  It was so freeing to be able to just run and chase small animals.  She was glad now that they had decided to come here, feeling it was the best decision they had made.

Erza walked along the path near her cabin, it was strange to be around so many other people. She missed it being just the four of them. She hadn't seen Scarlett since they had arrived and that always put her into a foul mood, cocking her head to the side she listened to the thud of paws. She moved closer to them hoping that it was Scarlett.

"Scar?" She asked resting her hand on the hilt of her sword just encase it was an enemy that had made it passed the barrier around camp. She relaxed when Scarlett in her wolf form ran into view, she rested herself against a tree watching her chase rabbits, it was nice to see her being so carefree. That was all she had ever wanted for any of them, they could have never been this free even if they had stayed at the orphanage; it would have drained the life out of them as it had been doing for the first 16 years of her life. She winced as she moved wrong just now remembering that she had a large cut up her side.

Scarlett let the rabbit scurry back into its home and trotted back towards Erza. She stopped beside her and poked her side with her muzzle, a disappointed look in her eyes. She had hopped that Erza would get it checked without her having to tell her too. She shifted back to her human form and looked at her. "You should really get that healed. I had hoped that you would when we got her, Erza. You don't need to be in pain with it so why should you be. Please get it checked at least", she replied and knowing it was a dirty trick, she gave her puppy dog eyes as well. Scarlett really was worried about her though and would do anything she could to get the older girl to get the wound checked out. "Promise me and remember you can't hide it from me if you don't. Even in this form I have a stronger sense of smell then most and it's not always a good thing", she replied, thinking about the boys at training.  Her nose wrinkled at the memory of the scent.

Erza melted at the sight of her puppy dog eyes, she hated when she did that it always made her weak to whatever Scarlett wanted her to do. "Fine." She huffed crossing her arms, ignoring the twinge of pain it caused her. She hated how easily she gave in to what the other three asked of her. A snicker escaped her lips when she mentioned the smell of the boys, she couldn't help but think of how cute the wrinkle in her nose made her.

Erza shock her head softly clearing that thought, she was not one of those like the nuns had called them, the children that had turned out to like the same sex. Those children were often sent away to camps to make sure that they came back normal. She had known for a long time that Scarlett and Violet were of that persuasion, but Erza couldn't be she had to keep them safe so she would lock away these useless feelings deep inside herself and keep them safe from straight camps and the nuns who ran the orphanage. It was one of the main reasons she had convinced them to run away, she knew that if they had stayed the other two girls would try and hide their persuasion because of what the nuns said and did to people like that and she couldn't let that happen to them.

Scar smiled slightly, in triumph, "Thank you", she replied, she moved so she was sitting on her good side and rested her head on the older girls should. "What do you think of the camp?", she asked her.

Scarlet personally liked the camp. She felt safe here. Safer then she had even felt at the camp. Especially once she hit 13 and started to realize she had liked girls. She had been scared that the nuns would find out and she would be sent to one of those camps. The camps where they changed all that and 'lead them from the path of the devil', as they would call it. Scar was worried about leaving her friends and if it happened she wasn't sure she would get the time she needed to change and stay sane. She had been so glad when they had got away and at least that one worry was lost from her mind. Or well it was so long as they weren't found. Even now, if the nuns found her they could take her back. They couldn't do much with the others but she wasn't yet 18 and technically she should be still in there care. She didn't want to go back to that. To all the uncertainty and fear of being caught in more then one way. She could only imagine what could happen to her if she was caught as a wolf. She really had no idea what the nuns would do to her then. Scarlett couldn't hold back the shudder at the uncertainty her life would return to if she was caught by them. She knew that she was safe from them here but if the others didn't like it then she would leave with them. She couldn't not, they where the only people she truly cared about in her life. It was times like this that Scar wished her wolf soul wasn't so passive.

"I." She said before stopping, she hated it here and wanted it to go back to what it had been before but, she could hear in Scar's voice about how happy she was here and knew that if she said something about how she hated it here Scarlett would leave with her or them if they decided too.

Erza took a calming breath before fusing enthusiasm into her voice before saying. "I love it here, it's great to get to know my siblings, but they could never replace you guys. They are so similar to me it's funny to watch them. I have a sister here which is cool along with a brother." She stops after that unable to force herself to lie anymore, she had yet to meet her siblings and when she did she knew that they wouldn't get along because they would all be as stubborn and leaders like she was and they would probably clash.

"Tell me, what you like about it?" She asked, wrapping an arm around her waist, the only contact she would permit herself to have with Scar, because if she had more it would open a door that even she was terrified to open. A subtle shudder ran through her at the memory of what had happened the last time someone has saw her touching another girl in a way they deemed inappropriate. She dropped her hand, unable to help herself, the memories and scars on her body and soul were still deep and harsh reminders of what can happen when others knew about her desires.

Scar grinned, "I am so glad you like it here", she replied, shifting to hug her tightly, careful not to hurt her though in the process. "I just love that I finally don't have to hide what I am. I can be myself in every way", she replied. "I have a few siblings too but they will never be the same as you, Violet and Orion. I couldn't stay here without you. You are the only real family I have", she replied, forcing herself to let go of Erza and calm her hyperness and happiness down a little. "I just.....I know I am safe here Erza. I have never been able to feel truly safe before."

Erza was unable to help but wince at her remark, it hurt that Scar was never able to feel safe even with her. "I'm happy that you feel that way." She tells her honestly, even though it hurt her that she never felt truly safe with them but she was glad that she felt safe here, it was good it was all she wanted for her that and for Scarlett to find someone to love and who would love her like Erza felt like she deserved and knew that she could never give her, even though giving her up would kill her she wanted Scar to find someone to love. She knew it would be hard to not be the center of Scar's attention but she could never be what Scar deserved. "I know you are our only real family too, not these kids who share the same godly parent and who don't even know us.

There was something in Erza's tone that made Scar realize what she had said. "I sorry Erza. I didn't mean it that way. I know you wouldn't have let anything happen to us, its just that we still had to watch our backs outside of here. I know we still don't know people here but at least we haven't got to check behind every tree for the monster that could be there", she replied. She hated hurting Erza. Erza was her oldest friend. She had got to know her before she knew the others. "You know I would be the first to leave with you if you didn't want to be here", she continued, watching her face. As much as she liked it here she wanted them all to be happy.

“I know, I’m just being sensitive.” She said shrugging it off, it was true after all now they didn’t have to look behind every tree which didn’t mean that Erza didn’t still do it anyway. She had grown used to the hyper-vigilance and still did checks of the perimeter of all of their cabins in the night, just to be sure that they were safe. “No, you’re right we need to be here we couldn’t have survived on our own for much longer without getting overly tired from having to pay attention to everything all the time. I like it here anyway.” She said the first part was honest and the second part was to just keep Scar here because it was safer for her here than anywhere else in the world. “Come on lets go grab some food.”

Scarlett frowned slightly but didn't comment on it. She knew Erza and had a feeling she was just trying to put up with it for them. Scarlett knew she couldn't change this though and it wasn't in her nature to fight her on it anyway. She would just watch and wait to make sure that Erza didn't leave on them. If she did, Scarlett would make sure she was ready to follow her anyway. She nodded at the suggestion of food and got to her feet, offering Erza a hand up when she did. "You know, we could always go on a day trip out of here and do some shopping or something", she suggested as they walked through on the forest.

"Nah, I'm fine here it's safer here anyway." She says walking with her to the dinning room. She took a seat at her father's table tugging Scarlet to sit beside her as she grabbed a salad starting to eat it she was tempted to say yes to an outing because she hated being locked up and camp felt like being locked up because she couldn't leave without the threat of monsters and the fact that the others might not be there when she returned. "Nah shopping is not really my thing. Besides we only just got here and I'm not that itching to get out of here yet."

Scarlett raised an eyebrow at her friend, did she really think she didn't know her better then that. She sighed before shifting in her seat to look Erza in the eye, fighting against every timid animal feeling she had as she did so. "Erza, please. I know what you are doing. I know how this place must make you feel. I know you better then that Erza, please stop lying to me. I want you to be happy to", she replied. Her eyes lowered back to her plate, "I love you", the words where barely a mumble but they where never meant to have been spoken at all. The girl left her food untouched and left the dinning room in the form of her wolf. Fleeing the emotions that she was sure would not be welcomed. She only hoped that Erza had not picked up on the words and that her secret would continue to stay hidden.

Scar didn't know where she ran, leaving her legs to decide where she was going and she found herself back in the forest where they had been before. Her wolfs nose picked up where her friend had been seated and she lay down there taking comfort in the scents that surrounded her.

Erza stared after Scarlett frozen in place, Scarlett loved her how could she possibly love her? it didn't make sense, Scarlett deserved so much better than anything that Erza could give her. She lost herself in thought mulling over Scarlett's words before she stood with determination, she would find Scarlett and tell her that she felt the same way, and maybe just maybe they would get together, hopefully, it was what she had wished for in the middle of the night after being woken from one nightmare or another having Scar there to hold after the nightmare and sooth away the memories. She stood walking in the direction that Scarlett took off in she had to tell her. 

Orion who had been for a walking aimlessly in the woods accidentally leaving a trail of ice behind him as he walked. He took a seat on the ground at the edge of the clearing leaning against a tree, he grinned when Scarlett ran towards him and curled up beside him he had missed her. He started stroking her fur. "So how do you like it here? I'm enjoying it so much. I think I've met someone she's so hot, and she's going to make me a sword that works with my powers to that I'm not useless in a fight against a sword." He tells her scratching behind her ears.
