Declan had been running for months from things that had haunted his dreams for years.  At this stage he was starting to believe he was crazy.  He had been fighting the things he saw since they had killed his mother a year ago.  About a month ago he run into someone who had told him about the camp and where to find it.  They travelled together for a while but where attacked not far from the camp and had to split.  Declan had been running for the last three hours.  He could run no more and rather stood doubled over trying to get his breath.  It was then that he realised there was nothing behind him anymore.  He allowed himself to sit and lean against a tree for a while before standing and walking down the path he could suddenly see in the trees.

"Hey you okay?" Vivian asked walking towards him she had been walking around the barrier of camp because she was thinking on her brothers and how to get them together and talking again when he had seen Declan walking along the path just outside the camp barrier. "You should probably get inside the barrier before something comes." She tells him looking around for any threats sometimes they started to hang around looking for any demigods who wondered out of the protection of the barrier. Seeing a hell hound trying to sneak up on the boy she summoned her power concentrating on the hell hound she reached out with shadows and managed to rip the heart out of the hell hound it floated in the air for a moment before the hell hound melted into the ground. "Well hurry up." She tells him with a roll of her eyes he was a little hopeless.

Declan glanced behind him to see another two of the hell hounds that had been following him. He put on a final burst of speed to get to the safety of the camp boundaries. "What the hell are they? Why can I see when most people can't", the words come out through gasps of breath. Before he had to start running for his life, he hadn't actually been that into running, or any sort of sports at all really. He lent against a tree and watched as the Hell hounds backed away again. He hoped he never had to see the things again.

Vivian used the shadows to scare the hell hounds the rest of the way away not wanting to chance them trying to break through the barrier. "Cause you're a demigod...duh they are hell hounds one of the most common monster that hunts demigods." She said flicking her hair over her shoulder, looking the boy up and down a look of shock on her face, I mean who didn't know they were a demigod. "You know the whole, one parent is a god the other mortal. Mostly the guys manage to knock up unsuspecting females like my mother, She had three demigods from three different gods. Hermes, Thanatos and Hephaestus I like my dad he's the Greek god of Death it's pretty wicked some of things I can do with seeing how long someone has left and how they die along with the trick I used to kill the hell hound. Ohh how rude, I'm Vivian Parker. Daughter of Thanatos."

Declan raised an eyebrow at her, "Demigods? Really? I will believe that when I see it. If there are gods out there then why are we left to die", he replied simply. He knew he was probably being harsh but he had be questioned before and he was sure they where about ready to chuck him into a mental institute before he ran away. "My father was just some idiot who my mother spent one night with. That doesn't make him a god", he continued. It was then he realised just how rude he was being. "I'm sorry. I have been called crazy one to many times and decided that I would only believe what I can actually see. I am Declan Green."

"Okay, I can understand that I guess, gods sometimes don't know they have kids and even if they do before now they were forbidden to talk to or help there kids by order of Zeus who is the King of the Gods. I mean like hanging from shackles off the edge of Olympus for a month or so that kind of punishment and also like watching there child die without being able to help because Zeus can be sadistic like that, and after awhile they could only help covertly and sometimes they failed but they have gotten a lot better at looking after these kids if they know them now that they can help without fear of punishment. Yeah I don't know how to prove it to you though I mean did you see what I did to the hell hound cause seriously that shit was real I mean really how often do you see a heart pulled from a body without touching it?" She asked with a raised brow. "I'm betting your father doesn't know about you, I mean some of the younger ones don't have a clue that they have kids. Like when I turned up Thanatos didn't have a clue that I was alive and then he got a bit annoyed that he didn't he apologised about it like a million times which sort of got annoying I mean I can only take so much grovelling, I did get some cool presents out of it."

Declan shrugged, "Your not the first person I have met with strange powers, beautiful. I am still not sure I subscribe to the whole Demigod thing. There are many other instances that could be true to. I mean we could all be mutants or wizards. I for one am still waiting for my owl", he replied with a small smirk. "I don't know what the truth is anymore if I am to be honest. All I know is I see monsters that most can't see and they continue to try and kill me. I have no idea what I did to them."

"Umm like exist?" She said rolling her eyes again unable to help herself, a frown popping onto her face at being called beautiful she had never been called that before it was more along the line of ahh! kid of Thanatos get away from me, he didn't understand what it meant yet but he would and then he two would avoid her. "Monsters want to kill anyone with godly blood. Yeah we aren't mutants I mean there's like Hep he's about at mutant as we get and as for wizards kids of Hecate and the Roman equivalent are as close as we get." She tells smirking at the mention of Hep, he and her father hated each other with a passion. "Well since you aren't claimed you'll go into the Hermes cabin cause he everyone who hasn't been claimed yet. I'll show you the way okay? Then I've got to go see my brother he's getting me a tattoo."

Declan shook his head, "I still don't subscribe to this whole god thing. I mean if they are real then why would they leave there children to die alone", he continued. He had watched others like him die while protecting him when he refused to fight and he did feel guilty over it. He had also nearly died a couple of times himself. Surely anything that could help would not do this too their kids. The mention of tattoo's drew his attention again. "Who said you need to go anywhere for that?", he replied. "Let me show you something", he continued stripping of his jacket. His arms where mostly clear of the tattoo's still as his mother had hated them. "I can't do anything big as they take a lot of energy to form", he spoke as he thought of what he was going to design. At thought came to his mind and as he touched his left wrist, a black rose appeared there. To him it symbolised her but he wasn't about to say that. He just hoped her name would not have to be added to the list on his side.

"I already told you stupid." She tells him with a scowl crossing her arms and glaring at him. "Most don't know about them til they arrive at camp and before now even if they did know about them they couldn't do anything overtly because they could have been in a whole lot of shit from Zeus. It's stupid to judge them your father might have not known about you."

She looked down at her wrist in wonder, it was so cool and it didn't hurt at all, she liked that the few people she had talked to about getting a tattoo said they really really hurt and she hadn't been looking forward to that but this one didn't hurt at all. "Ohh my god, you have to be a kid of one of the twins who have been giving out tattoo's I don't know their names but they sound awesome I was going to get a tattoo done by one of them."

"Right so I shouldn't blame them for leaving me to a life of running and watching friends die. I'm sorry princess, but while you may have forgiven your father not everyone can do so easily", he replied. If he was the son of a god then he could have gotten better powers right. All he could do was create tattoos and talk himself out of problems. "At least your powers can be used for defensive purposes. I am stuck with tattoos and a talent for getting myself out of trouble. Just generally of a more peaceful kind."

"Well I suppose a tattoo god would make sense", he replied before realising what he had said. "Okay where are the padded rooms, I think I need to me admitted now."

Vivian rolled her eyes at his padded room remark and sighed. "Yeah I guess but you should at least give him a chance to say something don't you think?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "It's not really his fault that you could only tattoo and talk yourself out of trouble, it's probably to do with his powers I mean Hebe kids have it hard to they only look young that's their power."

"I'll show you the way." She said taking a step back and heading in the direction of the Hermes cabin, trying not to dwell on the fact that he kept calling her princess.

Declan sighed, "if what you say is true, then yes I suppose I should. My mother never spoke of him. Probably knew how hard it would be to understand or she just never knew herself. I can image the gods like to mess around with mortals", he replied.

"Thank you. You got to admit this does all sound crazy. I do kinda believe you it's just a lot to take in when you know none of it", he stated. "It will probably feel more real when I am......claimed did you call it?" He slipped back on his jacket as he spoke.

"Yeah I wouldn't know I always knew who my father was because my mother new about him and told me before she died. But I guess some might not tell there lover about being a god it could get a little complicated I think but then again what do I know?" She asked with a smile, walking up to the Hermes cabin. "This is where you'll be staying till you are claimed if you are claimed that is some of the gods and goddess are major asses and don't claim their kids but most do so I guess I'll see you later then." She tells him turning to leave.
