Proserpina appeared in a cloud of unusually dark flower petals. Normally she was all cheerful and happy and her flowers would mirror that. Pink roses were always among them. Today all the flowers that sank to the floor were withered and brown.

Furiously she looked around to see if Eva was here. Taking in ever detail of the room. It was pretty empty. Why by tarterus would she chose all this over Prosepina? And after she had offered her everything. Even a marriage. Eva should have known how hard it had been for her to propose after all she had been through with Pluto.

When Proserpina saw Eva on the bed, sleeping deeply, her anger subsided for a second. For a second she was just happy to see her again. So peaceful.

But then she saw the necklace. How dare she keep it, as if she had not just broken Proserpinas heart into a thousand little pieces.

Quickly she walked up to the bed and reached for that stupid necklace.

Evan woke when she heard movement coming towards her she sat up her daggers appearing in her hands without a thought it was reflex by now. She blinked trying to comprehend who was in front of her. She let out a sigh dropping the dagger and it disappeared. "What are you doing here?" She asked softly, her hand automatically going to her neck and holding onto the pendent that lay there her thumb stroking it back and forth to calm herself. "I can't do this anymore." She tells her, her heart breaking as she said the words that's why she left the letter she couldn't do this anymore it was killing her.

"What am I doing here? Have you gone completely mad?"

Proserina barked at her. Daisys were popping up from the ground. That happened when she got angry and lost control. She could feel her control slipping from her. But it didn't matter. She was furious.

"You not only leave me, but all you can do is write a stupid stupid letter? Like some cowardly basterd after a random hook up! Is that all this meant to you?! NOTHING AT ALL? I MEANT NOTHING TO YOU, HUH? And that after all I did for you!!"

Evan froze in shock when she shouted those words at her, feeling her broken heart shatter. "You meant everything to me, you still do and most probably will always have most of my heart." She tells Ina, her voice soft but sure, she had learnt long ago that yelling back at Proserpina only made the situation worse.

"You gave me up first." She says her voice breaking in the middle of the sentence, she rubbed her eyes to rid herself of the traitorous tears that she felt rising there. "I just can't do what we were doing anymore, a parody of the relationship that I held so dear, the last five years have felt like a nightmare, we drifted apart as you started spending as much time as you could away from me." Unable to stop them a few tears rolled down her face and she barely suppressed a sob, she got herself under control before continuing.

"When we were together it was even worse, we were either fighting or sleeping together. There was no tender kisses, or snuggling up in front of the fire just talking. I left before everything that we had became trampled underneath the hatred that started to crush me." She says her voice still calm and almost emotionless.

"Before you I never knew it was possible to love some one with all your heart and soul but hate and despise their existence, so don't say you meant nothing to me, or that it was a random hook up. I'm not like you, I don't cheat!" She says her voice raising to a yell at the end of the sentence, unable to stop the pain and annoyance from consuming her as she brought up one of the things that they often fought about.

Proserpina through her hands up in exasperation. This again. It always came back to this girls gelousy and insecurity. Proserpina couldnt even look at another person without Eva think she was having an affair.

"Dear gods Evangelica, not this again! I am not having this pathetic discussion again!"

Then she added in a very clear voice, pronouncing every word,

"I. never. cheated. on. you! Why wont you get that?"

"You have never said those words." She told her with a glare. "I get it! But you spent so long away from me what was I supposed to think? Huh?" She asks with a sneer. "So it's all in my head huh? I'm an pathetic immature jealous girl that thinks her lover is having affairs?" She says turning away, and taking a deep calming breath so that she didn't blow up at her.

"I can't do this anymore, and you seem to not want me anymore, so I made a choice, I don't want to be with you anymore if that is all there is to life with you apparently anything I ask about where you have been is taken as me blowing up about you cheating, and you may not have been cheating but you spent more time away from me then with me than with me what was I supposed to think?!"

Proserpina looked at Eva with the saddest eyes ever. She was right. It had been so mach work, but it wasn't supposed to be like that. When you love someone, isn't it supposed to be easy? What could she do to make her come back? Was there anything she could do?

Slowly she walked back to her and stroked her face.

"No. You are anything but pathetic. I love you and I always will! You are everything to me!"

Evan looked at Proserpina and felt her heart break as she looked at her with those sad, sad eyes. "I love you too. You are my life." She tells her with a soft sad smile. "Maybe it's just not meant to be, because I don't know if our love is enough to weather all the fights and screaming."

She lets out a soft sigh, thinking about how they can possibly change their relationship to hopefully save it so it wasn't the destructive thing it had turned into. "We, I think maybe we should start over, we sort of rushed it the first time. How about that? We do the whole dating and building a cohesive loving, not such an explosive relationship. Take things nice and slow so that it doesn't turn out like his again."

Proserpina nodded quickly and was about to kisser her but stopped herself. They would have to take it slow, which meant no kissing. At least for now. It would be hard not to kiss those perfect lips of hers.

"Your right. Lets take it slow. We did rush everything. Oh it was so beautiful those first two years! We have to try and go back to that! We have to! So. No living together. We see each other only on dates. And slow is how we go."

Proserpina beemed at her. She would never be able to put into words how happy and most importantly, how relieved she was.

"And I will tell you what I was doing. When I wasn't with you. I promise."

Evan pecked her on the lips softly before moving back with a blush, feeling like she had when they first started dating. She ran a hand through her hair puffing it up a bit smiling again she was so glad that there relationship wasn't over. 

Evan took a deep breath thinking over the last thing she said. "No, you don't have to do that, I trust you, and I know that you wouldn't do that, but please don't destroy my trust in you okay?" She asks softly before grinning brightly.

"So, where are you taking me for our first date?" She asked with a grin, feeling better then she had for a long time.

Proserpina smiled blissfully at Evan. Oh how she loved her. She would never have let her go. Even if that would have meant locking her up in the basement of her cottage. She was prepared to do just about anything for her.

"No, Evan, I want to. I know what is is like to always be unsure of your partners feeling and whereabouts. I had all that with Pluto, and I never wanted you to feel that way!"

Proserpina bit her lip. It was hard for her to talk about some things. Very hard in fact. But she was telling the truth and she had to have Evan believe her.

"I was in the under world. But dont jump to conclusions, I was not there for Pluto, good gods. I was there for my daughter. My and Plutos daughter. She had her heart broken and needed me there..."

Evan looked down at her hands feeling guilty for her feelings of being abandoned when Proserpina went away without telling her where she was going and why.

"Ohh, I hope she is feeling better now. I don't mean to be jealous but I just I feel like I don't have anything to offer you. You are this amazing goddess, and I'm just a nobody who was abused by her step-father when she was younger." She says with a sad look. "I guess that I feel a little insecure, like why would this amazing goddess little old me."

She sighs turning around and looking out the window, maybe she should have brought this up before and saved on some of the many fights that they had had.

"Oh my gods Evangelica that is completely nonsense! Never ever say thay again! You are absolutely everything to me! I have never loved ANYONE like I love you! You are a goddess in my eyes, believe me. If I was... If I was no one at all. If I was a simple normal mortal, it would not be possible to love you anymore than I already do!"

Proserpina said her voice thick with emotion. Quickly she embraced her for lack of know what else to do.

"And I understand completely. I should have just told you what I was doing. It's all my fault! "

"It's not all your fault some of it was on me, I shouldn't have been overly demanding. But it's just really hard to be confident in our love when you could have someone so much better than me." She says against her neck holding her tightly with tears in her eyes, it was her worst fear that Ina would find someone else and just thrust her aside and Evan wouldn't be able to live after being left by Ina, that's why she wanted to leave her first because if it was on her terms it wouldn't kill her like Ina leaving her would.

"I should have said something about it before but I was scared that you would see what I see in me. I didn't want you too ever see what I see in me because...I would die if you did, you place me on this pedestal and act like I'm worth something and I don't ever want you too stop that."

"And I never ever ever will! You are absolutely perfect in my eyes. Gods, your so beautiful! No one even slightly compares to you!" Proserpina said reassuringly. It killed her to watch Evan be so hard on herself. She would never see her as anything less than an angle. One of those perfect little things that Christian people believed in.

"Your name alone shows that you are an angle, Evan! I beg of you, you must stop beating yourself down like this! Come, lets go somewhere better than this old place. How about the old country. I have never showed you Rom. Oh its absolutely beautiful there at this time of year!"

Proserpina gave Evan one last squeeze before letting her go. With one flick of her fingers they were both changed into fashionable Italian clothes, each with a rucksack at their feet.

"Now we will blend in! Oh and I packed your camera and your medicine kit. I know you don't like to go anywhere without it."
