Madeleine deflected all the daggers moving towards her slowly, stalked towards her would be a more apt description of her movements. A warm feeling filled her when she mentioned wanting to be a challenge for her, she would be a challenge but not in the way Mackenzie would be thinking.

She threw some power at her and also one of her daggers aiming for her stomach with the dagger and her shoulder with the power. She then moved close enough to slash with her dagger and so she did that too aiming for her neck. She wanted her to surrender to her, to give up to her.

Mackenzie watched Maddie draw closer and tightened her grip on the two daggers in her hand. Mackenzie blocked the dagger with the two of hers but somehow missed the tingling feeling of the magic in her focus and she stumbled back a couple of steps. She moved back another when she saw the dagger aimed at her throat and ended up tripping over the leg of the weapons wrack. She dropped her daggers as she fell backwards, so she would accidentally stab herself with them.

She raised her hands in surrender as she sat back up again, feeling only slightly humiliated by the goddess. "Okay, you where right. You beat me", she stayed on the ground until she was sure it was over.

Madeleine smiled when she realized that she had won. She dropped the daggers and they disappeared in mid air and she reached down to help Mackenzie to her feet. "Very good, especially with unbalanced daggers and fighting with magic for the very first time." She tells her with a grin, replaying the fight in her head so she could discuss with her what she needed to do better. "You really have to work on your casting and sensing magic, it is one of the most important things, your blade work needs a little work but overall you are quite the fighter. Your daggers aren't the right size for you and that is causing you to be sloppy and miss the mark when you throw." She says, not trying to criticize her but to make her learn from what she did wrong so she could do better next time.

Kenzie accepted the help to get to her feet and felt a slight pit of pride at the praise from the goddess. She had at least gone a way into impressing her, which had been her goal in the first place. She nodded at the criticism, being used to it from her father to. "Its been a while since I tried to train with daggers. I wasn't aware of how much my strength had grown", she replied. She placed her daggers back at her waist. She would find someone that they would suit to give them to and see what she could either get or make for herself. "I mainly focused on sword fighting with dad. You may have a shorter defense with them but they are also in a lot of ways more reliable to. I know my magic work needs work. Dad couldn't help me with that as he is only a son of Ares." She watched the goddess for a moment before deciding she was going to bite the bullet and ask what she really wanted to ask. She pushed back nerves and forced the words from her mouth, "Did you want to catch up for lunch one day?" She felt a blush touch her cheeks and she resisted the urge to run in case she was rejected.

"Sure, sounds good, I don't really know anyone else here and you're someone who doesn't get on my nerves." She says with a wink noticing the blush and thinking that she looked really cute like that. "How about we grab something now, and then again later in the week? All this practising has worked up an apatite." She asks, leaning against the dummy near her watching her with a grin it had been a long time since she had had a relationship and she decided that she would give it a try with Mackenzie if that's what she wanted. "With the one later on did you want to get away from camp with me? Paris is lovely this time of year."
