"Nah I'm totally fine settle petal, Pfft is that all?" She asked waving it off, she was not scared of the other girl she was sure that she had a good reason for doing what she did. "Anyway, haven't you heard, Hypnos kids are unaffected by the more serious powers of the Thanatos kids and the other way around, cause they had an on again off again relationship that is so important the effects of not being able to kill each other are passed down to their kids. All of the kids here have the potential to be dangerous, It doesn't mean that they can single you out because yours is 'dangerous'." She tells her with a stern look, rolling her eyes she get where Ali was coming from but found the other campers reactions ridiculous. "I mean they all hang around the Ares kids and those freaks are more dangerous with their anger problems and their access to weapons, well except for Kaylee and Heloise I mean but those two are still dangerous but not freaks I mean."

"I wouldn't let Kalyee and Heliose hear you say that they aren't dangerous. I haven't heard that though. Are you sure its true", she replied. It seemed like a like to risk her friends life on what could be just a theory but if it was true and she could trust her with out risking hurting her then it was a dream come true. She knew she would still have to be careful around other campers though but if she could touch Xanna then that gave her hope that she could learn to control it. "I don't know if I want to risk it. Maybe I should talk to the about getting gloves at least until I can talk to my father about whether or not there is a way to control it. I don't really blame campers for fearing us Xanna. How can one defend against getting killed with a touch. At least the Ares kids have to use a weapon."

"Man some Ares kids don't even need a weapon it's totally shit." She tells her with a suborn look in her eyes she wouldn't accept that they should be scared of being themselves at camp it wasn't fair the rest of them just got to act normally it made her mad who the hell were they to judge them. "Sure you can wear gloves around if you want but if you're with me I'll pull them off you, just so you know but if it makes you feel better then do it, don't do it for them or you'll spend your life doing everything for everyone else."

"The food looks good." She said after leaving a moment for the statement to sink in. "I think I want some bolognese." She says dishing up two lots and placing on in front of Alaina before digging into her own bowl.

Part of Alaina knew that there was no point in arguing with Xanna but she also had to think of the other campers too. She looked at the bowl in front of her for a moment before looking at Xanna. "You are right...some of the Ares kids can kill without a weapon but, let's face it, it still takes more then a touch. Campers do have reason to fear us. I want to wear gloves. Not for them but for my own peace of mind. I have killed people before and deputy whether they deserved it or not, I still feel guilty." Her gaze dropped back to her plate for a moment at the weight of the admission. "I will always you to remove them but only if we are alone", she continued. "I'm sorry, but I don't want to risk hurting anyone here."

She picked up a fork as she waited for Xanna's reply and twirled pasta around it. She still felt as though she didn't belong here. She felt akin to a monster and not worthy of the safety of the camp.

"Okay but only if it for your peace of mind and not those judgemental p....People." Xanna said swallowing the word she really wanted to say knowing that Alaina didn't like swearing. "You can always remove them around me." She tells her feeling her heart swelling when she said that she wanted to remove them when she was around that meant that Alaina felt that she was safe around Xanna and that made her feel like she could take on the world at the moment knowing that Alaina would open herself up like that around her even though Xanna knew that Alaina wouldn't hurt her it meant that Alaina trusted Xanna when she said that she would not hurt her.

"Only for my peace of mind", Alaina agreed, scooping the pasta into her mouth. She wasn't sure how she would forgive herself if she did hurt someone here. The people she killed in the past still haunted her dreams and she didn't want to leave the one safe place that she knew. Part of her wanted to reach out and touch Xanna again simply because it has been a very long time since she had been able to touch anyone, but she kept her hand by her plate. She wasn't sure how weird it would be for her to do it after all. "It's still hard to believe that this place exists. I was sure it had to just be a rumour to create false hope. Well...at least until we got here."

"Good." Xanna said nodding her head, reaching out and taking Alaina's hand threading their fingers together having an overwhelming feeling to do so and she always did have poor impulse control so she slowly drew her hand back hoping that Alaina said that she wanted to keep holding hands but she knew that it would probably never happen nobody wanted her. Like in the orphanage she was always passed over for adoption not one of the families she had met wanted her. She looked down at her plate with a frown she berated herself for getting her hopes up it would do her no good.
