Staring in amazement, Christi touches her now smooth skin of her arms before a smile touches her lips. "I never thought I'd be free of those," she comments as she gives him a grateful look. "And it definitely wasn't easy to do; its hard to find ones self when you are alone for years, but even harder when you are surrounded by people. I lived a nomadic life the last ten years and it was... beautiful. I like being alone or with only a few others at a time."
Folding her hands into her lap, she asks, "And what is your story, Tartarus? I've learned to never believe all the stories I hear unless from the person themselves."

Tartarus thought it over what did he tell her, he didn't know what she wanted to know. He decided to start at the start. "I'm old, so old, it feels like each time I blink another century has gone by, especially when I'm in Tartarus, I look after the monsters down there after they have been dismembered in the mortal realm. I'm antisocial and don't talk to many people, in the last war I was on the Titan's side and after that was sent to live in Tartarus for 10 years without leaving, I was lonely the only things down there to talk to are the shadows. I was finally released by Zeus a few weeks ago and haven't been back down there yet, I'm enjoying the sun." He tells her with a shrug unsure if that is what she wanted to know.

Christi listens attentively, cocking her head to the side in sympathy. She can understand to an extent how time feels to fly by; she never ages unless she chooses to allow herself and everything changes around her whilst she remains the same. "Why did Zeus still throw you down there for the past decade when you switched sides?" she finally asks him with a slight frown, "It does not seem quite fair that you turned and aided him, yet you were still punished." Shaking her head, Christi adds, "But enjoying the sun sounds like a good way to celebrate being released from down there."

"To teach me a lesson to not support the Titan's to begin with I gather, It matters not the punishment was not too bad but the darkness got to me after awhile, no matter the strength of the lights its still dark." He says with a subtle shake of his head, pulling himself from the memories that were trying to consume him, usually the darkness of his home didn't bother him but he had spent to long down there away from light and people so it had started to consume him. "It is, it's one of the only things I missed while being down there, well that and company, everyone who lives there doesn't spend to long not wanting to turn mad from the endless darkness."

"I never knew darkness could drive you mad; scare the crap outta you and torment you, but never bad enough to turn you mad" Christi comments curiously, wondering how dark the dark in Tartarus had to be for it to be that bad. "It's no Tartarus, but I can tell you I spent about five months underground. The cave and tunnels were ancient, and they act like... have you heard of those tanks that mortals go into to experience life without any of their senses for an hour at a time? The tunnels were like that. You can't see, hear or smell or even feel anything, you kinda just have to wander through and hope you make it out with nothing but your thoughts and even those leave you after awhile. Myself and some of the people I met while traveling heard about it, and how people who suffer go down there to try to find themselves and make peace with what they suffer, but very few actually make it out."
Her lips quirk into a frown at how hard it had been. By the time she got out, she was severely malnourished and could not stand to be in direct light for awhile. Some suspected she made it because she could slow down her own body's reactions int he process of stopping her aging. Christi just agrees with them though she doubts she can do that, really. "Once I was healthy again, I refused to leave light behind for longer than the night lasts ever again." she says finally, spreading her arms wide and tipping her face back as if to receive the sun with a smile.

"It's like that, its pitch black most of the time. It's like there is nothing, nothing but your thoughts for miles around you are totally alone. But that's the lowest pits in the higher ones fires burn and monsters are born." He tells her, shuddering at the thought he hated the pits and almost felt sorry for the titans that were trapped there for the rest of eternity until or unless they escaped. "I had to stay in the pits for the ten years, I'm quite shocked that I didn't go mad but I suppose being the god of the Abyss is what saved me from madness."

"I'm sure that was definitely a help to your sanity," Christi chuckles softly. "That, or you're already insane and just really good at hiding it." She leans forward and places a hand on his shoulder, "In all seriousness, though... if you want, I can keep you company while you enjoy the sunlight. You suffered enough being sent down into that kind of darkness for years. And, admittedly, I totally have a selfish reason for offering since I actually, kinda sorta really enjoy your company." She smiles charmingly at him, waiting for his reply as she slides her arm back to her side.

"Crazy people don't know they are crazy. I know I am crazy. Therefor I am not crazy." He tells her with a half smirk, quoting Jack Sparrow, from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. "I don't object to you staying, since I find that I enjoy your company also. Which I mush say is a large difference from mostly everyone else, I tolerate them but do find myself enjoying your company." He says, blushing lightly, he was so not good at this talking to others thing, usually it was just to order people around or get ordered around not a lot of actual talking happened to him.

"Johnny Depp would be quite proud to be quoted by a god," Christi laughs, smiling more brightly at Tartarus. "Well, I'm glad I can be such a positive influence on your day, that you enjoy me above others." She flops back onto the ground, her hair flying out around her and she looks up at him, admiring the way the sunlight hits his face. I may draw him, but I'm afraid I won't be able to catch this look later. she thinks to herself absentmindedly as she asks him, "Will you lay down with me? We can enjoy the sun together."

Tartarus stares at the strange girl who had captured his attention, he found that he wanted to know more about her. He jolted when he realized she had spoken he had been immersed in watching her. Realizing that she had asked him to lay with her, his mind threw up several things that they could do together but he pushed it away and lay next to her turning his head so he could continue to watch her. She was fascinating to him, he wondered what it was about her that drew him to her but found that he couldn't pin point one thing.

Blushing under his gaze, Christi averts her eyes shyly to look up at the clouds rolling by, brushing a few strands of hair from her face. She peeks over at him from the corner of her eye every few moments, her smile still touching her lips. "What do you see when you look at a cloud, Tartarus?" she asks, her curiosity almost child-like as she rolls onto her side and rests her head on her arms, folded beneath her head, as she looks at him to wait for his answer. "Do you just see a cloud made of water, or do you see shapes that tell stories? And what kind of shapes? I see shapes; and I've learned you can tell a lot about a person by what they see in the sky."

Tartarus reluctantly looked away from her and up at the sky, wondering what she meant, he never looked up at the clouds they were just that clouds. He stared at them for a long time in silence, before his eyes widened a fraction and he saw that one of the clouds resembled a hell hound or what was it mortals called their relatives a wolf that's it a wolf. "I believe that I see a wolf, though I am unsure what this has to do with me as a person. Can you tell me what you have learnt?" He asked almost hesitantly not wanting to scare her away by saying the wrong thing.

Chuckling softly, Christi can tell this must be the first time he's ever really looked at clouds. She tells him, "A wolf represents a lonely soul. Wolves either travel in packs or are solitary, but they are always protective of themselves and those they care about. They are creatures of the night, but they celebrate light with their howls to the moon. They bond for a lifetime with others; loyal, caring, determined." She smiles at him again, "That's what I've learned."
Turning her head just enough to watch the sky, Christi tells him, "We do not see things the way they are; we see things the way we are. Our perceptions of reality come from our own minds. That is what is has to do with you as a person."

"Huh." He said, what she had said made sense to him, he was very much like what she had just described about the wolves, a loner but also forging bonds that would last for for a lifetime; loyal, caring, determined. It was a surprise for him, he wouldn't have thought that him finding a wolf in the clouds would tell them so much about him. "I see, It makes sense to me seeing as I have the qualities that you have just described. What do you see and what does that mean?" He asked soon forgetting about her own interpretation of him, he wanted to know about her.

Christi watches as he takes in what she says before looking back up at the sky. "I see wings. A bird, a butterfly... they symbolize freedom and wisdom. I mostly see butterflies when I look up. They symbolize powerful transformation, metamorphosis, playfulness, the world of the soul. Always seeking, turning the ugly into goodness, finding life in death. Beginnings at every end. Immortal beauty since no one ever kills a butterfly." She smiles and looks down, "My dad used to say that butterflies were kisses sent down from heaven. If you see one, you see love in a physical form. It's silly," she plucks some grass out if the ground, "But I believe it."
