This is a large clearing in the middle of the forest bathed in light most of the day, come and read in a calm environment.

Christi roams aimlessly through the forest, coming upon the clearing and smiling. Oddly, it reminds her of a spot she visited in Italy. That was one of her favorite places to go. Christi runs out to the middle of the clearing and flops down on the grass, arms sprawled out to her sides and hair fanning out around her. She closes her eyes with a content smile as the sun shines down on her and she goes back to the clearing in Italy via her memories, wondering where her friends she made there were now - they were all nomadic travelers like her.

Tartarus appeared in the shadows of the trees, in black jeans and a black t-shirt paired with black work boots. He was about to walk into the clearing where he spends most afternoon's when he spots the girl laying on the grass, He cocked his head to the side watching her, she didn't look her age, his mind whispered he wondered if she was one of the newer goddess' or something, he pondered what to do he could go out and introduce himself or he could stay here and watch her awhile longer before leaving he decided on the latter.

Lost in her memories, Christi does not recognize when her instincts try to tell her she's not alone anymore. She doesn't feel alone remembering all of her friends from over the years. Her smile grows as she remembers the bonfire her and the others had, and she starts singing her favorite song from that night- the one she and the others related to the most from their pasts, that they've come to accept - out loud, softly at first but confident by the middle, "It's okay though, cause you'll see me soon. You'll know when your time comes, just look at the moon. As it shines bright throughout the night, just remember everyone's facing their own fight, but I can't deal with this pain I'm not a fighter..." Christi trails off with a sigh, opening her eyes. They all loved that song, but it is still painful to remember what she and the others went through for them to like it so much.

Tartarus was more intrigued wondering what she meant by those words he ran them over and over again through his mind trying to make sense of the random words. Tartarus moved closer silently, wanting to get a closer look at the unusual woman, she was nothing like the usual demigods she was different, older, sadder somehow, he wondered what made her like she is now. It was strange usually he was happy ignoring everyone but this girl had caught his attention. He debated walking over to her and asking her what she meant but he didn't think that she would tell him she seemed to he the silent type.

Christi let's out another sigh and rolls onto her stomach, resting her chin in her hand and using the other to draw in the dirt among the grass. She doesn't notice the grass and the small twig now stuck in her hair that hangs around her face. But she does notice the god standing near the trees watching. Fighting down a blush and the urge to ask him how long he had been there, Christi pretends that she did not notice him yet and wonders why he is there. He looks like the kind of immortal to not have his attention caught easily. She glances at him, hoping to be discreet, to try and figure out who exactly he is, but since she's only ever actually met two immortals before and never read or looked into much mythology, she cannot figure it out.

Tartarus turns his head slightly to the side realizing that she has seen him after she keeps trying to discreetly sneak glances at him. He dithers for a moment wondering if he should approach her or just disappear and leave her to what she was doing before. Deciding that he had never been a coward he leaves the tree line walking towards her slowly as to not frighten her. He took a deep breath stopping near her. "Why did you say those words?" He finally asks after a moment, before realizing that it was probably not the right thing to say to someone you just met.

Christi pushes herself up to kneel on the ground when she realizes he is coming over. She stares up at him in shock that he would actually come to speak to her, then almost appalled at his question. Is that how they greet mortals these days? "What are you...?" Christi begins to snap out before she realizes in embarrassment that he must have been there to hear her sing the song. "Oh! Oh..." She tucks her wild hair back behind her ears,a trick she learned to make her feel more confident. "They're lyrics.. to a song. One that I like a lot since I can relate to the words." As she speaks, Christi crosses her arms in the hope of hiding the scars on her arms since they are not something she usually leaves uncovered and open for scrutiny unless she's alone, and she looks up to scrutinize his face and try to figure out which god he is. His uncouth social skills say either one that resides in the underworld, or perhaps Ares or Mars?I'll find out, I suppose.

"A song." He says turning his head to the side mouthing the words again, deciding that it sounded like a nice song. He took a seat a few feet away from her, watching her she was a curious mix of sad and beautify and surprisingly he wanted to know more about her, everything about her. He wanted to know that put that sadness lurking deep in her eyes and make sure it wouldn't be there anymore, but he shook his head slightly he shouldn't be thinking these thoughts she would never return them and it was stupid to even entertain such thoughts.

"Yes, a song," Christi nods, continuing to watch him and in the process be surprised more when he sits down. Shifting a bit under his gaze, Christi tries to think up a way to not feel so awkward before the god. She throws out her hand instinctively and says, "I'm, uh... I'm Christi. I'm a daughter of Hebe. And you are...?"
Whilst waiting to learn his name, Christi tries to study his appearance some more, to gauge if anything about him would make it obvious why he became intrigued with her - or the song she sang, she doubts he would have any actual interest in her.

"Tartarus, God of the Abyss, Ruler of Tartarus." He says, a daughter of Hebe that would explain why she doesn't look her real age he thought to himself. He wondered if she would sing the rest of the song if he asked but decided it was strange to ask that even he, the reclusive badly adjusted person he was knew that. Tartarus couldn't help but ask. "Why are your eyes so sad?" "I mean, Umm I'm sorry it's probably rude to ask something like that isn't it?" He said, after a few moments silence, he sighed and stood he knew he shouldn't have come over he was no good at this talking to others thing.

Christi blanches in surprise at his question, shocked more by his interest than by who he is. She reaches out and grabs his wrist when he goes to leave. "No, don't go," she says, "I don't mind talking about it. You're actually the first person to ever ask..." Giving a short tuck on his hand for him to sit back down, she then releases her hold and brushes back a few strands of her hair behind her ear again. "It is kinda a long story, though. If you're actually interested to know I can tell you." Christi offers him a smile that brightens her eyes a tiny bit; knowing someone does want to hear what happened to her makes her feel better.

Tartarus took a seat watching her intently trying to decide if she was actually okay with telling him her story or if she was just going to do it because he was a god. "I...uh I would like to hear your story if you're okay with telling me." He tells her, unable to help himself from leaning forward and brushing some dried grass from her hair before slowly detaching a twig from her hair before moving back away from her hoping what he had done didn't scare her away. Why did he always get it wrong? He wondered to himself, looking down at his hands.

Blushing, Christi resists smiling at his tentative gesture. He's different from what she expects after hearing stories about him. "I'd love to tell you," she says again. "Well, I'm a triplet but they're both boys. And we were raised by our dad. Being the only girl made it hard on me because there was a set way girls should look and behave. So I became obsessed with being perfect, but it was never enough looking young and not aging like others. The girls were jealous and hated me, but I was too set on being girly to be 'one of the boys', so I only had my brothers and dad until dad died when we were eighteen." She pauses to make sure she isn't boring him already before continuing, "We got signed as models soon after where being perfect became a hundred times more important. I came to realize perfection is impossible but I still tried. I starved myself, socialized with people who only pointed out my flaws." Christi extends her arms for him to see her scars, "I hated myself for being unable to reach perfection. For feeling like I didn't belong in that world when everyone said I did. I punished myself and then hated myself even more for each scar. Then we came to camp; I couldn't survive without diamonds and five inch heels. Everything had to be clean and glittery until I met my mom and another demigod, a child of Cybele, who made me realize I had extra years to live and wasn't truly living. I made a choice and after the war I went off on my own to travel the word. It was hard at first but I found myself and others like me."
She shrugs and bites her lip, "Oddly enough that's the short version...so, uhm, yeah..."

Tartarus was unable to help himself reached out slowly to trace the scars that marred her perfect skin. He was suddenly angry at the scars that sat there, they should not be there they didn't belong, she was pure and amazing they shouldn't be there, he thought again to himself, tracing the scars on her arms and unknowingly using his power to make them disappear. "I'm sorry you went through all that." He tells her, having to clear his throat to get rid of the lump that had formed there. "But you are so strong to find yourself, many mortals and demigods never do, they always try to be what everyone else wants and are never themselves. I am glad that you figured it out."
