Background: Nico and Percy got married in the middle of the war, and spent the next 10 years married, because of Nico's insecurity they spent then next 10 years traveling alone together so that they could bond and that Nico could get over his fear of Percy leaving him for someone else and exploring the world, and thus setting up a solid foundation for the rest of their lives together and to get to know each other better. Because of Nico's insecurities they decided to wait to have kids. The decided to come back to camp because they missed their families and wanted to take up their godly place properly.
