Jonathan pulled the long trench coat tighter around him as he walked through the streets. He had the collar up so that he was not so easily recognisable. If he wanted to fool the paparazzi he need to at least pretend he was trying not to be seen. He had already brought some cheaper track pants, shorts and singlet shirts to where around camp from somewhere closer to the camp and delivered them back to room at camp. He was now going for more the upmarket gym clothes that would be expected for him to buy. He couldn't be seen buying the other stuff but didn't want to wreck good clothes by an ill placed block that ripped them so he needed some cheap things to wear during sword practice.
He was out know in a shopping centre a fair decent way away from where his apartment was. The apartment was the same one that he had lived with Eliot in as he had not been able to find the heart to leave the place and the memories behind. Those memories where what had kept him strong during the year without Eliot. They had kept him on track even more then the modelling had as they gave him something to strive to achieve, even if at the time he half believe it was only a dream. He now knew it could be a reality and he was going to make sure it worked. He would win back Eliot. He would prove to him that he could be trusted to be let back into his heart. He would be the man that Eliot had hoped he could be. Jonathan knew he had been a fool when he pushed him away after his brothers death but it had taken Eliot's absence for him to realise it. Jonathan was ashamed to that it had taken him over a week to even realise that he was gone for good.
He had found out when he went to get clothes from the cupboard to take a much needed shower and seen all his clothes gone. Until that moment he had hoped he had just gone away for a few days. He remember feeling his already broken heart shatter and he sunk even lower for over a week. He had barely ate, slept no more then a couple of hours every night. It got to the point where he practically collapsed so that his body could get much needed rest. It was at this point that in his dreams his brother spoke to him. Or at least he told himself it was his brother because he admit it was his subconscious he would have ignored it. Either way it made him realise what he had lost and how upset his brother would have been at him. This, along with the memories of Eliot, had given him the push he needed to snap out of his misery.
It took him over a month to become presentable enough to go for another modelling job and he gave his old agent a call, happy when the guy was happy to take him up even with out his siblings. He had grown a beard to at least try and look older then he had been ten years ago. After all a lot of guys had baby faces when they shaved, right? At least he hoped he could pull it off this way anyway. He knew he had a few scars on his body from the war they he would have to hide to stop questions being asked and his agent was confused when he asked for no jobs that required him to be shirtless but he followed through.
Jon was surprised at how well he had fitted back into the lifestyle after the time he had spent at camp and with Elliot. It was then that he realised he mustn't have changed as much as he thought he had. Jon pulled himself out of his thoughts as something drew his attention in the people around him. He had picked up on a guy in a suit, which wasn't what was strange about the situation. There where always men in suits all around here but what was strange about this one was the fact he was holding some sort of small gun. Jon searched the crowd and when he noticed a few men the same. Jon slipped his hands into his pockets where his comb was hidden. He knew he couldn't do much about guns but he made him feel safer to have it in his hands.
Jonathan was surrounded before he knew it and one man stepped forward, flashing a badge to him and Jonathan was told he needed to leave with them. Jonathan could hear the whispering from the people around them and the flash of camera phones as he was lead off by the group of men. He did not like this but he would go with it for now to make sure no one else got hurt.
He was lead out to a car park and a few of the men moved to stop people following them. As soon as they where out of view of the doors Jonathan acted. He pulled his comb from his pocket and activated the sword. He caught the men by surprise and managed to take them out but one did manage to get off a shot from his gun first and the dart hit his thigh. Jonathan looked around him expecting the bodies to disappear thinking that this had been a very organised monster attack but as he looked around he saw the bleeding men. A few of them where dead and it was then that he realised something else was going on. He panicked and ran.
He got a few blocks away from the shopping centre before the effects of the dart really hit him and he knew he needed to find somewhere to hide out. A look at the streets around him made him and he knew he was only 100 metres away from the apartment he had once shared with Elliot. He still had the key and knew this would be the safest place for him right now. He headed there as fast as he could, making sure he wasn't followed and once inside he put in place all the locks and collapsed before he could even make it to the couch.
********
Jonathan awoke a few hours later on the floor of a dark room. He stumbled to his feet still feeling groggy and not remembering where he was. He stumbled into a few things before he finally found at light switch. When he looked at the room he started to remember where he was and what had happened. He moved to the TV and turned it on to see a news report on him being dangerous and how he had killed two agents and severely injured another two. He took a seat on the couch and placed his head in his hands, wondering how he was going to get out of this mess. He pulled out his phone and called Elliot and was about to hang up, not wanting to bring him into his mess when Elliot answered the phone. He knew he couldn't admit that he needed help or Elliot would end up in this mess with him but he couldn't just hang up now. "I don't think I will be able to make our training session tomorrow after all", he said. "And I think I need to call off our date too. It won't be safe for anyone to go near my home", he continued as the news brought up a image of the units he lived in and the police all camped around it. "I have sorta got myself in a bit of a mess but I will see you when I get back to camp and if I don't get back, just remember I love you", he said. He took strength from Elliot's voice but hang up before Elliot could manage to talk him into where he was.
