As the god of war, aggression is a basic part of Ares' personality. He's aggressive with everyone from his parents and his children to his friends and lovers. He's sarcastic and a smart ass. He can be violent and cruel, but he's not quite as stupid as most people, his parents included, think he is. He can win against the best of them, through more than brute force, even though relying on brute force is part of his nature. And even though he can be mean and thoughtless, he does care about his children and his friends, if not his parents(he thinks he'd be more forgiving if it was just him they had a problem with, but they've hated all their children so as far as he's concerned, that says more about them than about him and his siblings.)

I'm sure everyone knows about Ares, the god of war, on the winning side of pretty much every battle to ever happen. No, he's not the god of victory, but as the god of war, he knows how to pick his battles. He's had beefs with just about everyone but that's in his nature so it doesn't bother him. He's also had affairs with just about everybody, but hey, he's a passionate guy, alright?
